Reports this week claimed United and Real were in talks over a deadline day move involving the Wales international. Jose Mourinho's side looked set for the new season having set up a strong side that has really made a strong statement at the early stages of the season, winning three from three and setting up a two point lead on the table.
Jose has said he needed one more signing before the window shuts...They did reunite with Zlatan on a one year deal but Jose still insisted on one more player. Gareth Bale looked certain to join united with all speculation linking him to Old Traford.
Many suspected that man united where waiting for the last minuet to throw in a bid and secure the wales international...the last minuet bid did come.
Both Madrid and United agreed on a fee and it all came down to the player. However, according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon, Bale had other ideas as he snubed the move.
